I have a feeling this may be a long post... it's probably because I've been doing a bit more lately, but I think it's mainly that it snowed and school is closed and I'm awake with time to kill. So here is what I've been up to lately besides taking pictures.

This is me at Hanging Rock Park. I went on a hike with my good pal/home teacher Tennyson. The life lesson I learned while on this hike was to always check the weather before you climb a mountain. We got near the top and it started to snow. It was so beautiful and peaceful at the top... but the climb down was a bit scary. Before heading back home we wanted to get something to eat and it really became quite an adventure. In an attempt to find a local place to eat the GPS took us through a trailer park, down a dirt road, past many abandoned couches and mobile homes. I was convinced it was some sort of trap. We decided that it would be better to go to the Hillbilly Hideaway! I highly recomend it to anyone who is in the area. But make sure you check the times that they are open! If I'm not mistaken, they open at 4:00 and are only open on the weekend.

This is a picture from my friend Cassie's tacky sweater Christmas party. I couldn't stay too long, but it was great seeing some people I hadn't seen in a while. This is a picture of everyone with their white elephant gifts. I'm the one who brought the Top Ramen!

This is from the Winter Dance Concert at Eastern Alamance High School. It's from the Candle Dance, which is always danced as the finale for the Winter Concert. It was pretty cool to see my sister dance the same dance I did when I was in Dance Company. I'm really proud of her for making Dance Company this year. It really brought back memories being there and seeing this dance in particular. I thought the whole concert was great in general. Kayla did so well! Again, I am really proud of her. I miss dance so much, so it was nice to be able to attend this performance.

One of my favorite things about Christmas is the lights! They add color to the dead colors of winter. They also look so darn cool. Courtney and I went to this place about 30 minutes out of Elon (I can't for the life of me remember where this is at). I've been here once before and I just love it! They do an amazing job with the lights. You have the option of either driving through or walking it. It was pretty cold, but they have little sheds that are heated and decorated along the pathways. It's just in some family's front yard (talk about keeping up with the Jones')! They take donations to pay for the power bills. When I find out the address I will post it on here. I really recomend it to those who like to see Christmas lights.
I can't believe that it snowed here last night! It's not even the good snow.. just the slushy, icy stuff. My dad was headed into work, but decided to turn around and head home because he saw about 7 cars that had slid off the road. So anyone driving today please be careful! I'm kind of bummed that it snowed. I was really looking forward to being done with my exams, and there's a book that I have on reserve in Burlington. I probably wont be able to go get it today.
So I just realized that this is starting to get preeetttyyyy boring so I'm just going to post this and be done for the day. When I get my book I will be sure to post about it. It's something that I'm really excited for and I can't wait to see it!
